Sophie Cheung is an 8-year-old Hong Kong girl. Sophie is abandoned by her mother, and forced to live and connect with her grandmother, Shirley.

 

SOPHIE is a 2nd year film, produced out of the Film Production Graduate MFA Program of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Asia. The Director/Producer Alexandra (Alle) Hsu has just completed her coursework at NYU Tisch Asia, and is now working towards finishing her thesis film, which will be shot in Southern California.
